INTERFERENCE OF OPERATING SPEED AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF GRANULATED FERTILIZERS WITH THEIR DEPOSITION

Uniformity in the deposition of granulated fertilizers seed furrow is essential for crop development and productivity. Quantitative (dose flow) qualitative factors (segregation formulation) influence fertilizer distribution throughout its application. This experiment aimed to compare two with different chemical formulations (04-14-08 04-30-10), using helical overflow metering mechanism at three operating speeds (4.0, 7.0, 10.0 km h−1), simulated on an electronic bench. The were analyzed particle size, density, angle repose, water content. On other hand, data subjected descriptive statistics frequency histograms. repose content did not differ between fertilizers, while density difference was significant. 04-30-10 presented most uniform size compared 04-14-08. higher uniformity responsible a more homogeneous speed 4.0 h−1, followed by 7.0 h−1.
